New Glasnevin School gets planning permission

Planning permission has been granted by Dublin City Council for the construction of a new school for Glasnevin Educate Together on the old Enterprise Ireland site off Griffith Avenue extension. I very much welcome this news.

The new school building will be able to cater for almost 500 pupils or about double the existing pupil numbers.

A new entrance is to be created to Griffith Avenue with new pedestrian facilities.

For the moment, there will be no pedestrian access via Claremont Avenue but this may occur at some future point should the connecting lands become available to the school.
